Information about Traffix

Methods

Traffix 1.0 offers:

  • Calculation of origin / destination trip matrices and distribution matrices
  • Resistance definitions for roads and traffic junctions according to various configuration types
  • Apportionment via resistance variations using a verified Bellmann-Moore-algorithm
  • Data are stored in Microsoft Excel spread sheets
  • Software accesses data from Excel spreadsheets without importing

Please read the whitepaper and the How does it work? sections for information about the requirements, methods and algorithms of Traffix.

Accomplished projects

Gotha: Road network traffic survey

Schmalkalden: Traffic development plan and traffic survey in the historic city centre

Wittstock / Dosse: Traffic development plan, section "Street area design"

All Traffix reference projects are projects of Planungsbüro Dr. Hunger, Dresden, Germany (see Contact).

Master thesis (Diplomarbeit) using Traffix 1.0

Dipl.-Ing. Sven Anker: "Traffic and road design conception for Parkallee Gotha", TU Dresden, Germany, 2004

Development period

Traffix 1.0 was developed in 2002 and extended in 2004.

Extension: Traffix-K (2004)

The additional module Traffix-K was developed in 2004. It's purpose ist the analysing of traffic flows in intersections. Surveyed traffic census data are used to calculate the traffic intensity of each relation of the intersections.
